A WARM WELCOME TO YOUR PTA
WHAT IS FLITWICK LOWER SCHOOL ASSOCIATION?
Flitwick Lower School Association is an open community of parent volunteers and staff, who organise both social and fundraising events to support the school by raising as much money as we can to enhance, enrich and improve learning experiences for the children. All parents / guardians automatically become members of the association as soon as your child starts school. This does not commit you to anything but will enable you to take part in certain events and offers obtained solely for affiliates.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We run termly discos, movie nights, bingo nights, the Christmas and Summer Fayres and seasonal events such as ‘Supper with Santa’ and ‘Tea with the Easter Bunny’, to name but a few. However, we are always looking for new suggestions for ways to raise funds so if you have any ideas please let us know!

HOW DOES THE ASSOCIATION BENEFIT THE SCHOOL?
In the last year alone, our fundraising efforts have provided:
- Smart Touchscreen Interactive boards
- ICT equipment
- Resources for Early years
- Part funded the Music session in Year 3 and 4
Our current fundraising goals are:
- To contribute towards the regeneration of the Courtyard
- To raise money to support the schools Forest School Development
- In addition to this we offset the cost of some school trips for example the coaches for the year 4 residential school trip to Grafham Water.
We also provide and pay for the School’s book bags for all new pupils, including all Foundation starters.

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
You can help the Association and ultimately your children in two ways:
- You can become an Association Committee member and help organise the events - you don’t have to help with every event or attend every meeting.
- You can volunteer on an ad-hoc basis - offering to help at individual events as and when help is requested.
- New committee members are welcomed with open arms. The committee meets once a month during term time, to organise the coming events.
